Monday's Show: Lessons from Nehemiah and Auschwitz

On Monday's show, a reflection on Sunday's first reading and how it reminds me of Alice Lok Cahana saying Shabbat prayers in an Auschwitz latrine, as recounted in Steven Spielberg's brilliant but haunting documentary, The Last Days.

Also, on the feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, why being Catholic means not having to reinvent the wheel.

We'll also talk about Frank Bruni's column from Sunday's New York Times, why it's possible to be both arrogant and right, and why the Catholic hierarchy has no monopoly on hubris.

All while sneaking in some sports stuff, and on Alan Alda's 77th birthday, this question of the day: What was your favorite M.A.S.H. character or episode? Here's a list of characters and episodes to refresh your memory.
