    Hi Mike,

    I'm glad to see that you did a segment on Robert Lax and Thomas Merton last month. Lax's influence on Merton's spiritual and poetic development is little-known and under-appreciated. I just published a biography of Lax--Pure Act: The Uncommon Life of Robert Lax--that gives a great look at the friendship between these two men and the lifelong influence they had on each other.
